Networking meeting with members of the University of Alabama at Birmingham

July 02, 2010

The University of Alabama at Birmingham is a leading US university in the fields of pathogenic microorganisms and host-pathogen interaction. To inform about cooperation possibilities and as a networking event for the doctoral students a meeting was organized in July 2010 (poster). Chander Raman, Sunnie Thompson and Michael Niederweis from UAB gave lively and interesting talks about life in Birmingham (life), the UAB (uab) and the scientific possibilities at the Bacteriology (Bacteriology), Immunology (Immunology) and the Virology (Virology) Department. First interests in research contacts were already spotted and will hopefully lead to exchange of doctoral students in the frame of interesting scientific collaborations.
